Gary D. Secrest passed away August 27, 2021.  He was a loving husband, devoted and proud father, beloved grandfather, and true friend.  Gary was a Faithful Servant and loved his church and the Word of God.  He is survived by his loving wife, his four children, three sons-in-Law, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way, four brothers and a sister.  He was truly the Best of the Best.  He is preceded in death by his father, mother and sister.  Gary was an Independent Entrepreneur for many years who possessed a wealth of knowledge and intellect.  He never met a stranger and never hesitated to help someone in need.  He loved life, his family, neighbors, and friends.  Gary shared his love for God whenever he had a chance and always took care of those he loved.  He enjoyed making others smile and always found a way to share his testimony and his heart with them.  He will truly be missed by those who knew him and loved him.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Life Center 3000 College Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47803.  Visitation will be held at the DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 Springhill Drive in Terre Haute on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again  Saturday, September 4, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m.  Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
