Freeda "Joan" Halt, 78, of Terre Haute went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband December 31, 2016 in Slocomb, Alabama.

Joan was born September 22, 1937 in Burns City, Indiana to Alvin Francis Stuffle and Niola Barnes.

Joan was a homemaker, devoted wife to Cecil and adored aunt. She was a life member of Faith Wesleyan Church. Joan previously worked at Schultz and Company and also at Neumode as the Assistant Manager of women's fashion. Joan sang in the choir at Faith Wesleyan, helped with the nursery and the women's prayer ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Halt, who passed away March 4, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, David Stuffle, Jean Matherly, Avanda Hamm, Nadine Hofmann, Mickey Jenkins and Sharon Sipple.

Joan is survived by many special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews , great great nieces and nephews, along with her extended family and her church family who were all very special to her.
