Frances Homburg, 96 of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 9:41 PM in Springhill Village. She was born in Terre Haute on July 3, 1920 to George Homburg and Amelia Dreher Homburg. Frances was a graduate of Wiley High School and worked as a clerk at Hulman & Co., SS Kresge, and K-Mart where she retired in 1984. She was a member of First Financial Gold Club, enjoyed traveling with her sister Ruth with Turner Coaches, where they traveled extensively in the continental U.S. and Alaska and Hawaii, and also enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her son Jim Homburg (wife Brenda) of Terre Haute, her brother Robert Homburg of Linden, IN, and sister Barbara Bullerdick of Clarksville, IN., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George & Carl Homburg, and 2 sisters, Ruth Homburg and Mary Crews. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen with burial of ashes at a later date in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Heart to Heart Hospice of the Terre Haute Humane Society.
