Fern M. Weese, 98, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in the home of her granddaughter. Fern had wanted to live to 100, but when she realized that wouldn't happen she still wanted to make a statement. She was born 12/27/17 in Nebo, IL and she passed away at 12:27 pm on 17th of December 2016. Fern is survived by her children, Susan E. Green (J. Don) of Terre Haute and P. Rodney Weese of Rowlett, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Wilcox (Bruce), Chris Green (fiancée Michelle), and Matthew Weese (Kelly); great grandchildren, Tyler Wilcox, Katie Wilcox, Bryce Wilcox, Cierra Green, Keirsten Green, Benjamin Weese, and Kathryn Weese and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orla Johnson and Roxie (Jennings) Johnson; her husband A. Paul Weese, whom she married July 12, 1941 and who passed away May 27, 2009; sisters, Louise Ewers, Juanita Retzer, and Wanda Carter and brothers, Lavon Johnson, Jarold Johnson, and Kaye Johnson. Private family services are scheduled at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery
