Evelina Peters, 85, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday June 12, 2016 at 9:49 am in Westridge Healthcare Center. She was born June 11, 1931 in Sullivan County, IN to Floyd Robertson and Pauleen (Farris) Robertson. She is survived by her five sons, Donald Peters (Glenna), George Peters, James Peters (Mildred), Jack Peters, and Byron Peters (Tina); five daughters, Judith Fulford (Hubert), Charlotte Risley, Terre Sparks, Jill Shapuras (Bob), and Tammy Shafer (Terry); 33 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a brother, George Robertson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald Jack Peters in 1998, a son Jerry Peters in 1986, two sisters, Virginia Edwards and Lenora (Pepper) Edwards and a son-in-law, Larry Sparks. Visitation is Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
