Eula Mae Heape Webb, 97, or Terre Haute passed away on June 25, 2026. She was born on November 26, 1928, to Horace and Hazel (Dry) Heape. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, beloved husband of 55 years Erskine Lee Webb, and grandson Wesley Curtis Maner. Eula is survived by daughters Runette Roberts (Walt Roberts) of Greenwood, Indiana, Rachelle Webb of Austin, Texas, and Dr. Robyn Kurtz (Dr. Greg Kurtz) of Hagerstown, Indiana; grandchildren Ryan Roberts (Dr. Jackie Roberts), Matthew Roberts, Kathleen Maner, Dr. Reed Kurtz (Maca Guerrero Kurtz), Karl Kurtz, and Anna Schultheis (Luke Schultheis), great-grandchildren Riley Roberts, Roman Loper, Katia Loper, Magdalena Roberts, Amelia Roberts, Jax Maner (Amber Wolfe-mother), Valentina Kurtz, Tomas Kurtz, Teddy Schultheir, and Lucy Schultheis.

Eula graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School in 1946, she served as editor of the Pyramid (yearbook), her class sounded the first Home Economics club at PCHS. She went on to Southern Illinois University on an academic scholarship, graduating with her bachelor's degree. Eula later earned a master’s degree from Indiana State University while on a teaching fellowship. She was employed by ISU where she taught textiles.

Throughout her life, Eula was an active member of her community including Centenary United Methodist Church, Terre Haute Symphony League, PEO, Honey Creek Garden Club, and Weavers of Char-Lee (Fort Meyers, Florida). A talented weaver, she demonstrated weaving at Fowler Park. Eula had a passion for sewing. She was a stitcher for the movie “A League of Their Own” and the theater at ISU.

She enjoyed winters in Florida for over 30 years. Eula preferred planning and cooking balanced meals. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Her family is grateful to Hospice of the Wabash Valley and Hands that Serve for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of Eula may be made to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley.

We will gather to remember Eula on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at DeBaun Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Greg Kurtz will officiate.
