Ethel Mae Wey, 95 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Terre Haute. She was born in Cory, IN March 21, 1919 to Lloyd Rector and Flora Donham Rector. Ethel retired from St. Anthony's and Regional Hospitals as Supervisor of Central Supply. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilson Wey on February 10, 2000, as well as one brother, Roy Rector on May 12, 1996 and her twin sister Effie Wey on September 9, 2010. She is survived by one son, Kenny A. Wey, and a daughter, Carolyn Ann Nussel (& husband Mike). Also surviving are five grandchildren; Carolyn Sue Stidman (& husband Kenny), Allen Wey, Danny Wey, Lori Ann Hakman, and Steve Nussel (& wife Marci). Other survivors include nine great grandchildren; Eric Stidman (& wife Heather), Chris Wey (& wife Rachel), Jason, Ashley, Travis, Evan & Lorin Hakman, and Justin & Dylan Nussel, as well as three great great grandchildren; Amelia and Maddox Stidman, and Emma Wey, a sister-in-law Betty Wey, and several nieces and nephews. She attended Well Springs Christian Church. Ethel was an excellent cook, and was especially known for her apple and chocolate pies, and she would go out of her way to help someone in need, and loved to travel with her family. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Wabash Ave. Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave., on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Steve Blades officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in DeBaun Wabash Ave. Chapel.
