Ernestene Hebert Crawford, 91, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.  She was born September 9, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan to George Hebert and Bess Brown Hebert.  Ernestene graduated from Alma College in June of 1953.  She received her master's degree from Indiana State University in 1974.  She was a teacher for several years in Clinton, Indiana.  After retirement, she spent 20 plus years volunteering for CASA.  Ernestene enjoyed quilting, playing piano and was a member of the former Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church and a member of the United Methodist Temple.

She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Geyer (Ronald); sons Gordon Crawford and David Crawford (Lisa); grandchildren Wesley Geyer, Heidi Geyer, Erik Geyer (Sara), and Aimee DeLora (Mark), Spencer Crawford (Maria), Grace Trinchetto (Sal), Cameron Crawford (Jessica), and Reed Crawford; and great grandson Henry DeLora.  Ernestene is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Paul Hebert.

As per her wishes, there will be no services, and she will be placed with her mother in Flat Rock, Michigan.  DeBaun Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of Ernestene may be made to CASA of Vigo County.
