Emma Jean Hunter Lee, 96, of Farmersburg, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 14, 2019. She was born August 25, 1923, in Vigo County to Emma Cecile VanCleave Hunter and Verner Andrew Hunter.

Jean was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She was a homemaker, graduate of Blackhawk High School, member of Pimento United Methodist Church, and served in the Gideons International Auxiliary.

Jean is survived by sons: Floyd Lee, Jr. DVM and wife Jane of Riley, IN; Delbert and wife Vicki of Graham, TX; Jim and wife Rhonda of Waynetown, IN; Ray and wife Camilla of Lafayette, IN; daughter Rita Barcus of Farmersburg, IN; grandchildren, Jeff Lee, Chris Lee, Matt Lee, Joanna Vaught, Katie Biebighauser, Eric Lee, Brandon Lee, Beth Cunningham, Brit Heide, Dan Lee, Andrew Lee, Elizabeth Lee; Jodi McClure, Tammy Martin, Tim Barcus; 41 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law George Harbour, and a host of extended family and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Floyd Martin Lee, Sr, whom she married September 2, 1945, her parents, and her siblings, Kenneth (Oneida) Hunter, Eleanor Mullens Walters (Claude), Lowell (Vernele) Hunter, Loren (Delores) Hunter, Gerald (Betty) Hunter, Betty (Max) Heady, George (Arlene) Hunter, Jewell Joan Harbour; son-in-law Michael Barcus, and great-grandsons, Jeffery Martin Lee, Jr., and Brogan James Lee.

Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Tuesday December 17, 2019, with Visitation from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M, and Funeral following at 1:00 P.M. with Pastors Jeff Lee and Chris Lee officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons International www.gideons.org or a charity of the donor's choice.
