Elizabeth Ann Norder, 79, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023. She was born in Terre Haute on June 18, 1943 to Leo and Mary Burns. Liz was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was one of nine children and had a very special bond with her siblings, especially her sisters. Family was everything to Liz. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy and biggest accomplishment. Liz enjoyed working in her flower garden and decorating her home. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.
Liz is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert "Bob" Norder, daughters Kimberly Clark (Michael) and Melissa Carney (Jerry Stanley), step-children Cambi Driver (Brad), Allen Norder (Melissa), and Carissa Roberts (Tyler), grandchildren Brycen Carney, Ella Motluck, Michael Clark Jr., Mikaela Robertson (Caleb), Dakota Norder, Jessica Norder, Chelsea Driver, Taylor Travis, Torey Adler, Tristen Adler, Brody Roberts, Drake Roberts, and Corbin Roberts, siblings Mary Martha Georgiefski, Patricia Fisher (Russ), Cecelia Myers, and Patrick Burns, sisters in law Beverly Nolan (John), Barbara Vanhoveln (Larry), and Karen Kresca (James), her beloved dog Khloe, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Charles Cottom, Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church located at 101 North 37th Street, Terre Haute at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jack Kelly will officiate. Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Terre Haute Humane Society. Online condolences may be made to www.debaunfurneralhomes.com.
