Mrs. Eileen Trefry, 83, went peacefully to the Lord to join her late husband, Lt. Ted Trefry and granddaughter, Messina Williams, on Monday, March 13, 2017.

She was born February 16, 1934 in Indianapolis to William and Leona Kuner.

Eileen and her husand, Ted, moved to Terre Haute when she was 18 years old. She and Ted were members of the Wabash Valley Motorcycle Association and the Eagles. She was a homemaker. She also helped with paperwork at the license branch and babysat until her husband passed away in 1976 when she became self-employed, cleaning homes, and went to work with her daughter at the Furniture Gallery. Eileen had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, granddaughter Messina Williams; three brothers, Harry Kuner, Oscar Kuner and Norman Kuner; and a sister, Louise Ludlow.

She leaves behind three daughters, Phyllis Sanders (Mike) of Evansville, Diane Trefry and Karen Trefry, both of Terre Haute; her grandchildren, Mathew Rector ( Lucy), of Kentucky, Jennifer Kerney of Fishers, Tanya Bennett ,(Ellie) of Terre Haute, and Jeff Trefry of Terre Haute; great grandchildren, Courtney Williams, Brittney Williams, Jericho Irelan, Chyanne Bennett, Quinten Bennett, Carter Kerney, Trip Kerney, Elsie Rector, Adela Rector and Geneva Rector; along with several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Nancy Hartman and Angie Kutch.
