Earl Edward Young, Jr., 57 of Shelburn, passed away at 8:50 AM on Friday, December 19, 2014 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute on February 27, 1957 to Earl Edward Young, Sr. and Lois Wright Young. He was a retired O.T.C. Tire Technician from Triple S Tires. Earl was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Lynn Gilkerson Young on January 12, 2002. Earl is survived by his children Tabatha Carrithers (husband Andrew), and children Ema, Skyler, and Kyleigh, Earl Young III (wife April), & daughter Abigail, and Christina Carrico (husband Billy), and children Faith and Xander. Also surviving are two brothers, John Young and James Young, and his best friend—his dog Rusty. He was a member of the Thunderbird Fire Department and former member of the Sullivan County Red Cross. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Mark Grubbs officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 3:00 – 6:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
