Earl E. Young, Sr. 81 of Terre Haute passed away Thursday May 16, 2013 in Springhill Village. He was a life-long farmer. Earl was born November 28, 1931 in Petersburg, IN to Robert E. Young and Dorothy Pauline (Cox) Young. He is survived by his wife Lois (Wright) Young whom he married April, 14, 1954; 3 sons, Earl E. Young, Jr. of Shelburn, John Robert Young and wife Carolyn of Terre Haute, and James "Dog" Young of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Cynthia Dawn young, Shauna Reynolds, Earl Young III and wife April, Tabitha LeAnn Young, Christina Carrico and husband Bill; great grandchildren, Temperance Ann Rennier, Ema Young, Nicole Marie Duke, Aiden Nile Reynolds, Faith Carrico, Abigail Sunshine Young, and Xander Carrico. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Amelia Sons and Vada Marie Kanuer; 2 brothers, Kenny Young and Wilford young, grandson, Jimmy Young and great grandson Kaydin Daniel Rennier. Earl was a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed woodworking, loved farming, camping, and being outdoors. Visitation will be Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services at 4:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Grubb officiating. Burial will be in Durham Cemetery with military honors being provided by American Legion Post #346.
