Obituary

Douglas A. Yaw, 79, of Shelburn passed away Saturday May 28, 2022 in his residence. He was a retired letter carrier for the USPS for over 40 years. Douglas was born September 20, 1942 in Pontiac, Michigan to Ralph and Beatrice (Hudson) Yaw. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Rabideau (Wayne) of Shelburn and Charlene Beasley (Bill Bilby) of Sullivan; granddaughters, Christina Goodman (Joel Medina) of Auburndale, Florida, Felicia Beasley (Corye Beville) of Terre Haute, and Hollie Fields (Michael "Bucky) of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Damien, Davien, and Celeste Wilson, Kiaira Beasley, Colton, Jaedyn and Bailee Fields, and Jessa and Cairn Goodman and sister, Debbie Belcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Margaret Yaw; step-mother, Laura Yaw, brother, Edward Yaw, and sister, Merle Yaw. Douglas was a retired Petty Officer 2nd Class from the US Navy. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #291. Graveside services will be Thursday June 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm with military honors in Grandview Cemetery, Online condolences may be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
