Dorothy Eileen White, 90 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Signature Healthcare of Terre Haute. She was born in Annapolis, IL on August 10, 1924 to Henry Schackmann and Effie Bickers Schackmann. She retired from Bemis after 22 years of service as an Operator. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Dean White, 2 sons, George F. Myers, and Pearl Wayne Myers, a granddaughter, Melody Lynn Myers, and a sister, Virginia Marie Goddard. She is survived by 2 sons, Charles Henry Myers and Lloyd Keith Myers, 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in DeBaun Wabash Ave. Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave., from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM, with Rev. Steve Moore officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow in Pleasant View Cemetery in Tecumseh. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice, in her memory.
