Dorothy L. Shaw Rohmann, 95, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday March 12, 2016 at 2:14 pm in her residence. She spent 20 years as the Executive Director for the American Cancer Society in Terre Haute and then in 1972 she founded and was co-owner with her son, Greg of Happy Hour Pre-school. Dorothy was born March 16, 1920 in Central City, KY to James Hoyt Wells and Susan Elizabeth (Morris) Wells. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Shaw (Stella) and Greg Shaw (Kathy) both of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Wayne Leslie Shaw of San Antonio, TX, Tim Shaw of San Clemente, CA, and Whitney Long of Terre Haute and great grandchildren, Rachel Brooks, Samantha Shaw, Dylan Shaw, and Raiden Long. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Rohmann and her first husband and father of her children, Wayne Shaw. She was a graduate of Wiley High School, a member of Central Christian Church, a former member of Altrusa Club, a member of the Wabash Valley Press Club and was a member of the Terre Haute Business and Professional Women and in 1965 was named Woman of the Year by them. Graveside services will be Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm in Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. DeBaun Springhill Chapel is in charge of arrangements. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
