Dorothy Selvia Bergman went to be with the Lord Dec 26, 2019.  She was born to Frank Selvia and Mary Tennessee Shaw Selvia on Jan 16, 1918 in Tecumseh, Indiana.  Her parents being from Georgia and Tennessee instilled in her a deep love for music and the Gospels.  Dorothy played guitar and sang for many church functions and gave her time to the "Share Your Heart" program at local nursing homes.  She was a Nurse Aid and worked for many nursing homes in Terre Haute.  At the end of her career she worked for Union Hospital where she retired.  Dorothy had a strong love for animals, owning many in her life, and felt passionately about their well being. She loved the Lord and belonged to West Side Christian Church before residing in Signature Health Care.  Dorothy is proceeded in death by her husband Theodore Bergman and many family members including her parents, stepdaughter, and siblings She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, step grandchildren and many extended family.  Services will be held at Debaun Funeral Home on Dec 29, 2019 with visitation from 12-2pm.  Rev Tim Fagg will officiate the service at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers Dorothy wanted contributions to be made to the Humane Society.
