Donna Pauline Thompson, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Friday August 28, 2026 in her residence. She was born January 20, 1933 in Prairieton, Indiana to Paul Vinnard and Gladys Gertrude (Gregg) Caton. Donna is survived by her daughters, Brenda Pair (Bryan), Debbie Miranda, and Linda Thompson (Tim Swank); son, Kenneth Thompson (Sheila); 13 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bill Thompson, who she married August 17, 1951 and who died September 14, 2016; son, Kevin Thompson; granddaughter, Toni Bernstein; sisters, Madlyn Furer and Shirley Harris and a brother, Larry Caton. Donna had worked for many years at Fannie May Candies. She was a 1951 graduate of Gerstmeyer Tech High School and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Her greatest passion was her children and grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Monday August 31, 2026 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in her memory.
