Obituary

Donald "Don" Robert Elmore, 88, passed away on October 1, 2024. He was born on December 02, 1935 in Seelyville, IN to Edward and Beatrice Elmore. He was a musician who played the guitar and sang gospel music, and he loved to collect eagle keepsakes. Donald was also a minister of the Gospel and a member of the Sanctuary Church of Terre Haute.

He is survived by his children Pastor Curtis Wayne Elmore (Penny) of Rockville, IN and Kathy Renee Pitcher of Shelburn, IN, stepchildren Marjorie, Mark, Donald, and Randy; grandchildren Travis Pitcher (Megan), Renee Pitcher, Cierra Patterson, Hannah Dillon (Noah), and Elijah Elmore (Erika); step-grandchildren Natasha, Shleby, Broc, and Brandon; great-grandchildren Malachi, Nevaeh, Olivia, Paylie, Larry, Rynlyn, Kinsley, and Eliana; sister Donna Elder, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Annetta (Ritchey) Elmore, second wife Edith (Kearscher) Elmore, both parents, daughter Yvonna Rose Patterson, and siblings, Edward Elmore Jr., Bill Elmore, Marvin Elmore, Lawrence Elmore, and Betty Konezeski, and step-son Steven.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at DeBaun Funeral Home with a funeral service starting at 1pm. Pastor Merrill Weir and Reverend Kenneth Coffman will officiate.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences can be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
