Donald L. May, 67, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away September 9, 2014. Don was born to James "Bud" May and Sirena May on June 8, 1947 in Terre Haute, IN. Don served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Don retired in 2010 from Polk State College where he worked as a maintenance mechanic. Don is survived by his wife, Sandra (Burch) May of Winter Haven, FL; son Bryan L. May and daughter-in-law Amy of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law Mike Burch, his wifeLinda, of Farmersburg, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00p.m., Monday September 15, 2014, at Farmersburg West Lawn Cemetery Chapel with military honors. Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. until service time at Farmersburg West Lawn Cemetery Chapel. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don's memory to the American Cancer Society or to Winter Haven First Church of Nazarene.
