Donald Jeremiah Keeney, 83 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Vigo County on November 27, 1931 to Francis Herbert Keeney and Anna Louise Meehling Keeney. Donald was a draftsman for the Mallinkrodt Corporation and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife Lorna Harpold Keeney, and his son Darby Keeney. Also surviving is his sister, Patricia Hughes, special niece, Lorena Oliver, and grandchildren Carmen Drake and Reagan Keeney. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kimberlee Keeney, and a sister Barbara McCoy. In keeping with his wishes, a private service for immediate family will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with military honors provided by VFW Post # 972. A larger Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to either the Wounded Warrior Project or the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Food Bank.
