Dr. Donald Wade Hansell, 92, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday January 28, 2020 in his residence. He was an Associate Professor at Indiana State University for 25 years. He was born April 11, 1927 in Chicago to Neil D. and Ailsie E. (Daughetee) Hansell. Donald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Hayes) Hansell; daughter, Sara Latta (Michael); sons, Paul Hansell and Mark Hansell (Suzanne); grandchildren, Kristen Merchant (Alex), Emily Cornwell (Simeon), Vincent Hansell, Sonja Hansell, and Dominic Hansell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Susan Hansell. Donald was a US Navy Veteran of WW II, and a life-long member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed playing the organ and playing bridge, and he loved going to the theatre and working on genealogy. Per Donald's request, cremation has been selected, no services are scheduled.
