Donald Eugene Ennen, 89, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday April 29, 2018 at 7:30 am in his residence. He worked for 38 years at Reuben H. Donnelley. He was born March 21, 1929 in Terre Haute to Enno Ennen and Vera (Reising) Ennen. Donald is survived by his daughters. Donna Schopmeyer and Darlene Thomas (Scott) both of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Ryan Scott Thomas and Kelsey Elizabeth Thomas; a brother, Lloyd Ennen (Verna) of Terre haute; a special niece, Sara Loudermilk and other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 67 years, Stella Elizabeth Ennen, who died October 2, 2017, a son-in-law, Larry Schopmeyer and a brother and sister-in-law. Donald was a Golden Age member of Terre Haute First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday May 3, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Bernie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute First Baptist Church Building Fund.
