Donald Edwin Deighton, 85, of Terre Haute passed away Monday June 13, 2016 at 9:22 am in Bethesda Gardens. He was a manufacturing supervisor for Alcan Aluminum. Donald was born April 26, 1931 in Terre Haute to Tom Smith Deighton and Ethel (Cooke) Deighton. He is survived by his son, Danny Deighton (Diana) of Brazil; daughters, Connie Black (Lance) of Rushville, IL and Donna Austin (Calvin) on Terre Haute; 9 grandchildren, Jenny, Brent, Laura, Michael, Michelle, Craig, Morgan, Brooke, and Bradley; 6 great grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Piper, Wyatt, Gavin, and Ethan and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ann (Furnace) Deighton who died November 15, 2010; a daughter, Barbara Lynn Deighton; 2 brothers, Bernard Deighton and William "Bill" Deighton; a sister, Vivian Burrel and his parents. Donald was a US Army veteran during the Korean War, was a member of the Alcan Retirement Club and enjoyed fishing and painting. Visitation will be Thursday June 16, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard
