Don E. Lankford, 58. Of Terre Haute, passed away Monday April 4, 2022 at his home. He was born March 31, 1964 in Terre Haute, the son of Mick and Glenda Lankford. He was an owner of Lankford Excavating for over 40 years. If it had an engine, he was all over it. He loved to work on cars or his grandchildren's toys. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Gaynell Lankford; mother, Glenda Lankford; sons, Ronald Carney (Jennifer), Shawn Carney (Reba), Chris Carney, Josh Crews (Christina) all of Terre Haute; brothers, Robert Lankford (Becky) and Terry Lankford (Linda); grandchildren, Cary Carney, Aryal Carney, Cayden Carney, Jeyden Crews, Carter Crews, Jalia Crews, Keegan Carney, and Jasmine Lanning; nieces and nephews, Ashley Lankford, Terry Lee Lankford, Mitchel Lankford, Brittany Lankford and extended family, Aunt Thelma, Uncle Pete, and Uncle Terry. He was preceded in death by his father Mick Lankford. Don loved helping his family and racing. Visitation will be Friday April 8, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with a Celebration of Life at 8:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Branham officiating.
