Dolores "Dee" Sodora Smith, 85, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday November 27, 2013 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born August 24, 1928 in Clinton, IN. She had worked at Terre Haute South Vigo High School as a secretary for Ms. Mary Nasser and also worked for the State of Indiana Department of Family and Children Services. Dee was a loving Italian mother to her 3 sons who survive her, Robert Smith and his wife Vickie of Terre Haute, Dale Smith and his wife Starlet of Terre Haute, who she resided with the last 6 years, and Greg Smith and his wife Theresa of Hurst, TX. Other survivors include 5 grandchildren, Tammy Sanders, Missy, Liam Smith, Catherine Smith, and Daniel Smith; a step grandchild. Chris Wright and his wife Danielle; 2 great-grandchildren, McKenzie Smith and Gaven Smith; 2 step great-grandchildren, Aubree and Carter Wright, many nieces and nephews, and a good friend June Knox of TN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul R. Smith, brothers, Jack "John" Sodora and Gabe Sodora, sister, Marie Wilkinson, and her parents, Hazel and Sam Sodora. Dee loved Gospel and County music. Visitation will be Monday December 2, 2013 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
