Diane Ruth Held, 67, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, after a fierce but short battle with cancer. She was born an only child to Robert Hays and Joann (Decker) Hays on February 23, 1959. Diane was the mother of seven amazing children whom she loved with all her heart. She had great joy in watching her 11 grandchildren grow through the years. Diane was known for her faith in God and attended Maryland Community Church her entire life. She loved spending time with her family and friends and cherished every moment with them. She also had a passion for baking and worked as a baker over the years. Diane was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Her beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Diane is survived by her children, Robert (Jo Ann), Michael, Dustin (Amanda), Nicholas (Stacey), Colby (Ayricka), Stephen (Sierra); Grandchildren Ellison, Tayla, Matthew, Willow, Mia, Piper, Alyssa, Joshua, Sayler, Marley, Stephen, and great grandchild Ezryn. She is also survived by her Uncle Bob (Kathleen) Decker, Aunt Sue Decker, many cousins and life long friend Mellissa Chrisman (Rob). Diane is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jennifer Diane Held, parents Robert and Joann Hays, her Uncle Bill and Aunt Reta Decker, and her Cousin Scott Decker.
Services will be held at Maryland Community Church on Friday, May 29, 2026. Visitation will be held from 12 until 2 with the Service starting at 2pm. Burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery.
