Dennis D. Forbes, 70, of Farmersburg, passed away Wednesday, May 21 at his home. A life-long resident of Farmersburg, he was retired from Hercules/A.E.T. He was the son of James Garland (Whitey) Forbes and Helen (Perkins) Forbes, and the brother of Joe E. Forbes, all of whom preceded him in death. He was a member of the Oaktown Gun Club and the Shelburn American Legion, Post 197. He was a 1961 graduate of Hymera High School and a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his companion/caregiver Connie Guy of Sullivan, one nephew, numerous cousins, and extended family and friends. Special thanks are extended to Doctors Dhar, Gera, Gowda, Shantilal Patel and the staff at Fresenius South for their patience and care. Per his instructions, no services were held.
