DeeAnn Lynn Boyd, 67 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Union Hospital. She was born August 15, 1947 in Elmhurst, IL to Clarence Charles & Geraldine M. Schmitt Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Robert H. Miller. DeeAnn graduated from West Chicago (IL) High School, and attended St. Olaf College (MN), Northwestern University (IL), Northern Illinois University, and Wichita State University. She received a bachelor of music education from Wichita State University, and taught all grades of music in Kansas for two years. She was also Director of the children's choir at the Presbyterian Church of Kent, OH for 11 years, as well as sang in the adult choir and was an elder of the church. DeeAnn had been a realtor since 1980, working in Kent, OH and Tucson, AZ. She was vice president of the Portage County (OH) board of realtors for one year, did property management in Tucson, AZ and then in Terre Haute, IN, working for Pfister & Co. Inc. for 23 years, having retired in 2013. She was also a member of the Terre Haute Area Apartment Association since 1990, and served as a board member form 1997 – 2000, and then as president in 2000. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Dr. John Pretz Boyd, Children Joleen Lundin & husband Carl of Minneapolis, Mn, John A. Boyd and wife Melissa of Terre Haute, IN, and Kimberly Boyd (& James Henson) of Mt. Pleasant, SC Grandchildren Gabriel & Gideon Lundin, Caitlyn Cantrell, Broderic and Carter Boyd, and Brendan & Amber Henson. Visitation is on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:30 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Cremation will follow the visitation with burial in the Boyd family plot in Blue Rapids, Kansas In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Hux Cancer Center or Hux Cardiology Center, Terre Haute.
