David Flesher Voges, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday October 21, 2017 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital of heart failure. He had been a teacher at South Vigo High School and owner of a machine shop, woodshop and blacksmith shop. He also farmed several acres. David was born February 20, 1940 to Earl H. Voges and Edith Gretchen (Flesher) Voges. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda (Gentry) Voges; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Watkins (Stephen) of Poland, IN; a son, Henry Allen Voges (Martina) of Terre Haute; and grandchildren, Braden Earl Bowman, Anna Marie Bentley Watkin, Danielle Bettina Voges, and Marcus Henry Voges. David graduated from Purdue University with honors in 3 years and was member of Prairieton United Methodist Church. He loved his musical instruments, the Jew's harp and Didgeridoo. He also was an animal lover. David always said that he could fix anything but a broken heart. Visitation will be Sunday October 22, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services on Monday October 23, 2017 at 1:30 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Duane Caperton officiating.
