David Ray Vaughn, 72, of Terre Haute passed away Friday May 1, 2020 in his residence. He was a production manager for Tredegar. He was born February 27, 1948 in Terre Haute to Phillip Edward Vaughn and Ida Belle (Hunt) Vaughn. David is survived by his sons, David Vaughn, Jon Vaughn (Julie), and Jeff Vaughn (Leslie); sisters, Nancy Bennett (Donald) and Brenda Oliveria (Bob); brothers, Ted Vaughn (Loretta), Bruce Vaughn, and Dan Vaughn (Debbie); grandchildren, Taylor Vaughn and Brittany Vaughn; brother-in-law, Denny Harmon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marian Darlene (Grizzle) Vaughn, who died in 2017 and a sister, Sharon Harmon. David was a United States Marine Corps veteran having served in Vietnam as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technician. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ and enjoyed drag racing. Visitation will be Tuesday May 5, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel (due to new Indiana guidelines we will be limiting visitation to groups of 25 in the chapel at one time). Private family funeral services will be Wednesday May 6, 2020 in Southside Church of Christ with Pastor Scot Harris officiating. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery.
