Obituary

David Earl Harden, 71, of Terre Haute passed away on January 15, 2018 at 5:29 a.m. in Union Hospital.  He was born on March 13, 1946 to Woodrow Harden and Helen Sylvia Harden in Terre Haute.   David worked as an ink blender for Bemis and was also in the United States Army.  In 1971 he married his wife Margaret Ann Poe.  David was a member of Central Christian Church, as well as a member of the VFW post 972.  He enjoyed traveling, wood working, mowing grass, and had a passion for art, especially painting.  David is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Gary Harden.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Poe Harden; son David "Rick" Harden (Denise); daughter Mary Richele Harden-Slater (Jared) of Evansville; brother Kevin "Woody" Harden; sisters, Andrea Raubuck, April Harden, and Bonnie Walker; sister's –in-law Donna Hofmann (Ron) Melissa Bagnoche (Shawn); Brother-in-law Albert Poe (Sue); nephews Christopher, Jamie, Michael, Matthew; and his nieces  Madilyne and Britt Reese (Brandon); and special friend Jerry Akers and his family.  Visitation for David will be held on Thursday January 18, 2018 at 2-4 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel with a memorial service starting at 4 p.m.  Dr Rebecca Zelenski will be officiating.  Cremation has been chosen by the family after services.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
