David L. Fiscus, 76, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 quietly in his sleep.

He was born November 22, 1949 to Robert and Mabel (Dolph) Fiscus of Clinton, Indiana. David was the youngest of 6 siblings. He was drafted into service during the Vietnam era at 18 years old serving his time in the 82nd Airborne after basic training.

David is preceded in death by his daughter Elissa Fiscus in addition to both of his parents; brothers William (Bill), Donald (Don), infant Jackie, and sisters Judy Fiscus and Roberta Martin.

David is survived by his daughter Valena Fiscus, DO of Kirksville, Missouri and Jane Smith of Clinton, Indiana as well as several nieces and nephews.

David will be remembered as a quiet, kind person who befriended those from all walks of life. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, wild berry picking, watching the Indianapolis Colts, talking about football and his previous military experiences with his daughter.

David will be cremated with interment to be decided at a later date.
