Darlene June (Wilson) Helton, 75, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. She was born to Leroy Wilson and Mary (Fisher) Wilson on June 19, 1951 in Terre Haute.

Darlene worked at Union Hospital as a Nutrition Assistant and in catering. She enjoyed running the Bean Shack in Bridgeton every October during the Covered Bridge Festival. Darlene also enjoyed taking beach trips in Florida and eagle watching. Her favorite hobby was being a doting grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darlene is preceded in death by both of her parents and her late husband, James L. “Sonny” Helton.

Darlene is survived by her children, Sean Helton (Jennifer) and Amy Wright (Nicholas); grandchildren, Cody Helton (Abbie), Ryan Helton (Nicole), Weston Wright, and Harrison Wright; great-grandchildren, Amelia Helton and William Helton; and several cousins.

Visitation for Darlene will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026 starting at 2:00 p.m. at DeBaun Funeral Home with the Memorial Service beginning at 3:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
