Daniel L Welsh, 91, of Terre Haute passed away Monday January 16, 2023 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born December 23, 1931, in Casey, IL to Paul and Irene (Hampsten) Welsh. Daniel is survived by his son, David Welsh; granddaughter Stacey Welsh (Chris Pitts); great-grandson, Daniel Pitts and stepbrother Gary Moore (Lia).  He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 ½ years, Rebecca Ann (Sons) Welsh, who died November 12, 2022; brothers, Dean Rumple and Junior Rumple; and stepbrother Jim Moore. Daniel was a member of the Antique and Classic Car Club and the Wabash Valley Rodders. He was also a member of the Wabash Valley Senior Citizens Center and the Dietz Lake Beach Club for 31 years. He enjoyed fixing things, gardening, fishing and mushroom hunting. He originally raced at Stewarts Fast Track on N 25th St, where he raced his '39 Plymouth Coupe. Visitation will be Friday January 20, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 1:00pm in the funeral home with Pastor Rod Maris officiating.
