Daniel
Ernster
January 11, 1962 – February 4, 2022
Daniel E. Ernster, 60, of West Terre Haute, IN, received his miracle of healing. He peacefully passed away on February 4th surrounded by family.
Daniel was born on January 11th, 1962 to Marion and George Ernster. After highschool, Daniel joined the United States Navy as an aviation structural mechanic. He had many job titles over the years. At the time of his passing, he was the sanitation manager for Saturn Petcare Inc.
In July of 2018, he met Traci. It was a love that was so genuine and true that anyone around could see it. They were married on May 28th, 2019 in Charleston, SC.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, Daniel was a family man. He was a big kid at heart, especially with his grandkids. He loved spending time with family and friends. He touched the lives and made an impact on those he encountered. Throughout his life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with many. He enjoyed spending time doing many things including fishing, going to racing events, mudding and country cruising on the side by side. He also enjoyed grilling, listening to music and of course his Green Bay Packers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marion Ernster and his niece Callie Lathrop. Daniel is survived by his wife Traci; his sisters Elizabeth Collins (Craig) and Barbara Ernster (Andrew Wetor); his sons Christopher (David) and Jeremy; his daughter Jessica (Jeremy) from his previous marriage. He is also survived by his father and mother in law Fredrick and Brenda Moore; sister in law Haley Moore; Traci's son Justin Denny (Caitlyn) and daughter Krista Mroczek (Derek). All of which he loved as his own children. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Logan, Lennox, Kaydence, Lexi, Trenton, Colten and Willa.
They were his pride and joy. We can't forget his fur babies Max and Gracie; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends of whom he loved dearly.
Daniel did not want a funeral so we will be having 2 celebrations of life. The first in Indiana and the second in Wisconsin where he wanted his ashes spread over the lake.
