Curtis Dean Culver 86, of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 19, 2026, at Aspen Trace Memory Care in Greenwood, Indiana.

Curtis Dean Culver was born Oct. 13, 1939, in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of Catherine Loretta Apple, then 17, and Curtis Benjamin Culver, then 19. He married Nancy Jean Steppe on Jan. 1, 1957, in Ringgold, Ga. Together they raised four children: Mark Dean Culver, PhD (Candy); Cathy Jean Culver; Christopher Curtis Culver (Connie); and David Eric Culver, who preceded him in death. Survivors include four grandchildren; Mandy, Lara, Michelle, Catrina; seven great grandchildren.

Mr. Culver retired from Marine Corp Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC - Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE). He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and belonged to the Grand Masonic Lodge of Indiana in Indianapolis.

Mr. Culver served 26 years in the Indiana Air National Guard, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant with the 181st Tactical Fighter Group at Hulman Field in Terre Haute. His service earned him the Indiana National Emergency Service Medal, the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Ribbon, the Air Force Reserve Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He will have a Military Honors Burial.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hull Cemetery.
