Obituary

Clarence E. Vanatti, 82, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday April 27, 2013 at 2:14 pm in his residence. He was a locksmith for Powell Stephenson Lumber for many years. Clarence was born November 8, 1930 in Clay County, IN to John Vanatti and Mamie (Stoll) Vanatti. He is survived by a daughter, Carol Vanatti of Terre Haute; 2 sons, Brian Vanatti and his wife Carla of Marshall, IL and David Vanatti of London, England; 7 grandchildren, Cayla, Amanda, Courtney, Andrew, Beth, Joshua, and James Tyler; 5 great grandchildren, Cydney, Connor, Camden, Brynlee, and Camden, and several nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia (McKean) Vanatti who died in 2008, sisters, Eva, Thelma, Mary and Zeta, and brothers, Claude, Amos, and Charlie. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of Eastside Church of Christ, the Senior Seekers, and Terre Haute First Gold Club. Visitation will be Saturday May 4, 2013 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Abe Miller officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
