Charlotte L. (Skinner) Stroot, 77, of Terre Haute passed away on November 17, 2013 at 11:46 p.m. She was born on June 5, 1936 to Norman Skinner Shelburn and Delores (Duby) Beveridge. Charlotte was a member of St. Benedict Church. She graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1954. She was a member of The Red Hat Society. Charlotte also enjoyed playing Bunco. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Stroot in 2004; mother Delores Beveridge, who she was very close to. She is survived by her son Christopher Mark Stroot, his wife Susan; daughter Sheri Knight; grandchildren Lindsay Stroot, Ian Knight, Kyle Knight, Cody Knight, and Justin Flowers; great grandchildren Autumn Knight, Summer Knight, and Nathaniel Knight; brother Paul Skinner, his wife Pat; sister Patricia Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Benedict Church, 111 S 9th Street, on Friday November 22, 2013 at 12:05 p.m. Father Ed Goldbach will be officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive, from 9:30a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
