Charlotte Rose
Kautz
Charlotte Rose (Jennings) Kautz, aged 89 years old, went peacefully to be with her Lord on June 17, 2015 with family by her side. Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert (Bob), parents Claude Jennings and Nellie Lovelace Jennings, and a brother, Lavon Jennings. She is survived by three daughters, Sue Ann Owens, her husband, and grandson, Robert Owens, from Tucson, AZ, Cathy Mulberry, who resides in Noblesville, IN, and Brenda Sisemore, her husband, and two grandchildren, Makenna and Hayden Sisemore. She also leaves behind a large extended family including several beloved nieces and nephews. In 1982 Charlotte became co-owner of Kautz's Country Market which she operated with her husband, Bob. The market sold homegrown vegetables and fruits, grown from their 15-acre farm, to the public and area grocery stores. The business thrived until year 2000, when it was shut down due to Charlotte and Bob's ailing health. While Living in Terre Haute, Charlotte was an active member of the Davis Avenue Women's Club, Maryland Community Church and Why Me Women's Breast Cancer survivor support group. After Bob's death in 2007, Charlotte move to Fishers, Indiana and stayed with her daughter Brenda Sisemore and her family. While in Fishers, Charlotte became active in Bible Study Fellowship International which deepened her relationship with her Lord and Savior, and established many endearing friendships. Charlotte believed in reaching out and loving others, and was happiest when she could help someone in need. She is loved and cherished by young and old, and we are certain that the angels in Heaven are rejoicing over her homecoming. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM, with Dr. Dan Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either St. Jude's Hospital for Children or Riley Children's Hospital, in her memory.
