Charlotte Virginia Curtis, 92, of Terre Haute passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026. She was born on January 20, 1934, in Terre Haute to Harry Smith and Grace Edith Michael Smith. Charlotte was a long-time member of the Agape Christian Church. In her younger years she was a member of the Blackhawk Saddle Club, the Town and Country Home Ec. Club, a Den Mother for the Webelos, and served as secretary and treasurer for Dixie Bee Elementary for over 33 years. She was a talented seamstress, sewing many of her own clothes. Charlotte was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. Her presence will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by her sons Ralph Curtis, Jr. and John A. Curtis, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, brother Robert Smith (Carol), and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Curtis, son James Curtis, sister Betty Smith, two great grandchildren, and daughter in law Linda Curtis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Richard Winson will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance of Charlotte to the charity of your choice.
