Charles Frederick "Fred" Sankey, 76, of Pimento passed away Friday May 3, 2024 in Indianapolis. Fred worked as IT Manager at Commercial Solvents then after they closed he opened and ran CFS Computers since 1989. He was born January 29, 1948 in Terre Haute to George Frederick and Chloras Gretna (Pipher) Sankey. Fred is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kim (Beauchamp) Sankey; son, John Frederick Sankey; grandson, Michael Frederick Sankey and the numerous youth involved in baseball and softball who thought of Fred and his wife Kim as their grandparents. He is also survived by a sister Carolyn Voegele (Ron); sister-in-law, Nila Beauchamp; nephew, J.R. Jackson (Diane); niece, Deanna Kouns (Steve) and best friends Nora and Oni Leone. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Cindy Anderson. Fred was a beekeeper and one of the best armchair supporters of youth baseball and softball. Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Terry Norris officiating.
