Charles T. Ferguson, 81, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Union Hospital.

He was born February 25, 1935 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Harold Ferguson and Mary Simmons Ferguson.

Charles was a teacher for the Vigo County School Corporation for thirty years; after retiring he drove a school bus for many years. Charles taught Driver's Education, Accounting and Typing. He was a Public Accountant and owned and operated Ferguson's Tax Service. Charles loved to play golf and once accomplished a 'hole in one'. He coached golf at Honey Creek High School. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of Terre Haute Competition Riders. He was also a member of BPOE Elks Lodge #86. He resided at Bethesda Gardens for the last 6 years.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Sharon Ferguson; his three daughters, LeAnn Moore and her husband, David; Lisa Lively and her husband, Bruce, all of Terre Haute; and Laura Wright and her husband, Larry of Greenwood, Indiana. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Ferguson of Greenwood, Indiana; his sister, Julie Elliott and her husband, Ken, of Tolona, Illinois; his grandchildren, Justin Moore (Tricia), Josh Moore (Kelly), Jennifer Moore (David Wallace), Nick Lively (Darienne), Megan Fisher (George) and Miranda Lively; his great grandchildren, Colten Moore, Easton Moore and Raelyn Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.

In honor of Charles' wishes, cremation has been chosen. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, February, 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802; with a gathering of friends and family from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
