Obituary

Charles "Butch" Beckwith of Terre Haute passed away peacefully Monday, December 19, 2022. Butch was born January 20, 1942, in Terre Haute to Richard and Maxine Beckwith. Butch was a graduate of Honey Creek High School, an MP in the United States Army, and a member of The Singing Messengers Gospel Group. He served many years on the board of Honey Creek Fire Department and as a Trustee of Honey Creek Township. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and Butch loved to travel. Because of his desire to travel, he ushered Turner Coach into their 2nd Century while serving as their President.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Debra Beckwith. He is survived by his sister Barbara Beckwith from Dayton, Ohio and two cousins in Texas.

Family and close friends invite you to join in celebrating Butch's life at a gathering on Thursday, December 22, 2022, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joe Craft officiating. Private graveside services will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Happiness Bag or a charity of your choice in his honor. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
