Cecelia May Brown, 69 of Terre Haute, passed away at 8:42 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Union Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute on July 27, 1946 to Ernest Reynolds and Thursia May Irons Reynolds. Cecelia was a retired switchboard and elevator operator for Meis Department Store. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Linker (and husband Mark), as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband George Edward Brown. Cecelia was a member of Faith Baptist Church, a 1964 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School, she loved animals, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed helping others and always put others needs first. Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM, with visitation starting at Noon with Pastor Grant Utley officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
