Cathy J.
Tucker
November 18, 1946 – June 28, 2019
Cathy Jean Tucker, 72, of Highlands Ranch, CO, passed away on June 28th, 2019, at UC Health Hospital, in Highlands Ranch, CO. She was born November 18th, 1946, in Terre Haute, IN, to Fred Eugene Johnson, and Georgia Bell (Bean) Johnson, both of whom preceded her into the eternal presence of the Lord, as did her daughter, Teresa Ann Tucker.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Phillip Edward Tucker, of Highlands Ranch, CO, her son, Tracy Edward Tucker, of Hanahan, SC, and his wife Tina, her grandsons, Zachary Phillip Tucker, of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Joshua Robert Tucker, of Hanahan, SC, her brother, Gary Edward Johnson, of Terre Haute, IN, her brother John Max Johnson of Houston, TX, and their families.
Cathy attended Wiley High School in Terre Haute, IN, where she graduated in 1964. In 1983, she and her family relocated to the Denver, CO, area. She worked for over 20 years for Burlington Coat Factory, in Littleton, CO, and served faithfully in the children's ministry and other areas at her church, Mile High Calvary, in Highlands Ranch, CO, where her grandson, Zachary, is an Assistant Pastor. She was selflessly devoted to her family and friends, and made everyone she met feel as though they had already been her friend all their lives. Her greatest joy was using her gifts of teaching, hospitality and help to serve those she loved. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and made sure she shared that fact with everyone she met. As she enters eternity, she is receiving the reward for a life of faithfulness.
Her life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, which reads: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." She lived this out in her daily life, and taught her family to do the same. She will be missed terribly by all who know her, but we rest in the promise that we will see her again in Heaven.
