Obituary

Carrie Rachael Neff Stewart, 47, of Terre Haute passed away at Union Hospital surrounded by family after fighting a long and courageous battle with leukemia on December 27, 2017.  She was born in Terre Haute on May 8, 1970 to David Neff and Luanne Myers Neff Swanson.  Carrie graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She loved being in and around the water, and most of all loved playing with her boys. Carrie also enjoyed spending her time doing arts and crafts, especially painting. She hosted the Fox Kid's Club television show in the late 90's.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents Charles Myers, James Neff, Gertrude Neff, and her father-in-law James Stewart. She is survived by her husband Brian Stewart and two sons Kasey Stewart and Kyle Neff; her father David Neff and his wife Becky; mother Luanne Swanson and her husband Bob; mother-in-law Becky Stewart; brother James David Neff and his significant other Sharron Shaw; grandmother Rosemary Myers; step-siblings Brea Hester, Toni Haskell and her husband Steve, Ty Hester, Gregg Broyles, and Tricia May; sisters-in-law Sharon Taylor, Catherine Scott, and Amanda Heincer; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Visitation for Carrie will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, January 1st from 4-8 p.m. with services being held Tuesday, January 2nd at 1p.m. Burial at Mt Pleasant will follow. Pastor Rick Swan will be officiating. In lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
