Carolyn Sue Bailey, 81, passed away January 2, 2023.  She was born on October 6, 1941 in Terre Haute, IN to Denzil and Marie Newlin.  She was a 1960 graduate of Prairie Creek High School.  She married on July 20, 1962 to Charles W. "Bill" Bailey.  Carolyn began her lifelong journey of raising her family.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sullivan, IN.  Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely.  She also enjoyed homemaking, gardening, crafts, and traveling to Florida.  She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Donald Ray.  She is survived by husband Charles "Bill" Bailey of Farmersburg; three sons, Ernest (Afton) of Farmersburg, Lee (Lori) of Prairie Creek and Michael (Ann) of Indianapolis; twin sister Marilyn Conder of Prairie Creek.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation for Carolyn will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 12-2:00 PM with burial following at Prairie Creek Westlawn.
