Obituary

Carolyn Jasensky Evinger Butters, 92 of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:00 AM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in her residence. She was born in Ford City, PA on March 7, 1923 to Matthew Jasensky and Anna Wogton Jasensky. She was a cashier at Life of Virginia Life Insurance Company and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, having served during WW II. Carolyn is survived by her 2 daughters, Linda Daugherty and Lois A. Potts (husband Billie). Also surviving are 2 granddaughters, April Clark (husband Joe), and Kimberly Gregory (husband Robert), also by 2 great grandchildren, David Clark (fiancAC. Alisa), and Sierra Sosbe (husband Robert), as well as a great great granddaughter, Raven Sosbe. Other survivors include her sister, Mary Ann Kasen as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Evinger, brothers Walter and Steve Jasensky, and 3 sisters; Wanda Lux, Josephine Fennel, and Pauline Jasensky. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the 40 & 8 Hall, 934 N. 5th St., Terre Haute on Sunday, February 7th, 2016 from 12 Noon - 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory.
