Carolee Jean "C.J." Purdy Pearce, 79, of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024.  She was born July 23, 1945, in Terre Haute to Paul Purdy and Mary Robinson Purdy.  C.J. was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran.  She served during the Vietnam War and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.  C.J. was a psychologist for 32 years working at the Fulton County School Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia.  She also sold real estate in Fernandina Beach, Florida.  Traveling, gardening, and shopping were among her favorite activities.  She also loved cats.  C.J. will be missed lovingly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her brothers Paul Purdy (Wretha) and Charles Purdy, sisters Beverly French (Larry), Janet Sims, and Kathleen Pine, Cousin Rebecca Faris, several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  C.J. was preceded in death by her parents and Hazel Jones (significant other Mike Jones survives).

Cremation was entrusted to DeBaun Funeral Home.
